Kids > FAQs
Are the members of the Children’s Ministry Team screened for child protection and safety reasons?
Yes, every person working with children 18 and under is screened by our national background screening company, ScreenNow.
I’d like to be a part of the Children’s Ministry Team. How do I get involved?
Get in touch with the Children’s Department and you’ll explore the possibilities. Please call the church at 265-4073
Does HPCC provide family-friendly events?
Yes! Our annual fall festival and similar programs are wonderful family-friendly events. Add to that Children’s Ministry Weekend in the spring and Vacation Bible School in the summer and you’ve got an event for every season.
Are there courses offered to help equip parents for the most important job of their adult lives?
Oh yeah! We’ll offer several short-term training courses on topics such as talking to your kids about faith, and behavior and discipline issues. Call the HPCC office at 265-4073 for more information. Or email us at church@hpcc.cc.
How are emergencies handled?
If an individual child needs their parents' intervention, the child's number will be displayed on the marquees on either side of the sanctuary (these marquees are also in use in the Discipleship Center during the 10:30 am Sunday service). In case of an emergency evacuation, children will be evacuated out the west side of the building. They will be accounted for and released to the designated adult with matching claim tag on the grassy area just off Walsh Drive.
