What's it all about?
HPCC Student Youth Ministries exist, first and foremost, to provide a place for kids from the 7th grade through college to experience the love of Christ. Although we plan and participate in a lot of fun and exciting activities, our vision and mission are always at the forefront.
The message is... Jesus loves you. Come join us as we REACH out for His love, GROW closer to Him and learn to SERVE both God and our friends.
Ministry Mission Statement: Our ministry desires for students to GLORIFY our Creator by SERVING others, SHARING The Truth according to His Word, daily GROWING And COMMUNICATING with Jesus Christ, and CONNECTING.
Who is involved?
Well, there are kids, of course. Lots of them. From 7th grade up to 12th grade. And there are adult volunteers (lots of those, too). Folks from within HPCC, and oftentimes parents of kids in the group, volunteer their time to lead, disciple, nurture and grow your kids in their knowledge of Christ and His love. Those volunteers are carefully and thoroughly screened by an outside company. And they pass the test when it comes to adults who can love and relate to kids from all walks of life.
When do you meet?
There are lots of meeting opportunities for youth. Because they are social creatures by nature, kids in this age range love to gather and gab. So we have Wednesday and Sunday nights, which are our large group gatherings for middle school (7th-9th grade) and high school (10th-12th grade) students respectively. Plus, throughout the week smaller, more intimate groups gather in "Clusters" all around town. And as if that wasn't enough we get together on Sunday mornings for Sunday School classes and also meet up at various times and dates for service projects and special events. It's exhausting. But it's what we love to do.
