HPCC is a big place, but a "small group" provides the intimacy and warmth of family. Over half of the adults and youth attending weekly worship are in a Community Group. In those small groups people share life together, worship, pray for one another and study the Bible together, learning what it means for our day-to-day life. Leading
Community Pastors lead, and in essence, 'pastor' a small group of 5-20 individuals in weekly meetings. Here in the climate of love, trust and friendship they grow together. Following the example set in Acts 2:42-47, the format of our Community Groups includes sharing life together, worship, application of God's Word, prayer and outreach.
HPCC is committed to train and support Community Pastors in various ways. Community Pastors go through TURBO (Basic Leadership Training) and on-the-job training to qualify as Community Pastors. Monthly, advanced training is offered at Leadership Link to help Community Pastors remain enthusiastic and relevant.
