Students | FAQs (for curious parents)

For all you parents of tweens and teens who want to know more about HPCC's Student Ministries (aside from your kid's elaborate description of "it's fun"), we hope this page can provide just the right amount of insight. And, of course, if you ever have more questions or comments, you can always email Pastor Harold or Pastor Micah or call at 265.4073.

What's it all about?

HPCC Student  Ministries exist, first and foremost, to provide a place for youth from the 6th grade through 12th grade to experience the love of Christ. Although we plan and participate in a lot of fun and exciting activities, our vision and mission are always at the forefront.

The message is... Jesus loves you. Come join us as we REACH out to others with God's love, DISCIPLE young people in a growing and vibrant faith and EMPOWER students to use their God-given gifts in His service.

Ministry Mission Statement:

We are Christ followers, committed to raising up new generations by reaching, discipling, and empowering young people in the Way, the Truth and the Life.

Who is involved?

Well, there are kids, of course. Lots of them. From 6th grade up to 12th grade. And there are adult volunteers (lots of those, too). Folks from within HPCC, and often parents of kids in the group, volunteer their time to lead, disciple, nurture and grow your kids in their knowledge of Christ and His love. Those volunteers are carefully and thoroughly screened by an outside company. And they pass the test when it comes to adults who can love and relate to kids from all walks of life.

When do you meet?

There are lots of meeting opportunities for youth. Because they are social creatures by nature, kids in this age range love to gather and gab. We have 3D Life on Wednesday  nights, which is a large group gathering for middle school (6th-8th grade) and high school (9th-12th grade) students. All the students worship together and then have two large group teaching times designed to meet the students where they are.  And we get together on Sunday mornings for Sunday School classes for everyone and our new Hot Church for high school students. If that isn't enough, we also meet up at various times and dates for service projects and special events. It's exhausting, but it's what we love to do.

How do i get involved?

Parents are always welcome to hang out and see what we do. We also have several ways that you can volunteer if you are interested. Contact  Pastor Harold or Pastor Micah if you would like an application to be one of our regular volunteers.
